Kathryn Ann Pratt from Fullerton, California, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the age of 70 at St Jude's Medical Center, after a massive heart attack.

Kathy was born on March 14, 1948 to Elbert and Kathryn Judkins in Indianola, Iowa. She grew up in Indianola until she was 14. She and the family then moved to Santa Fe Springs, California. She graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1966. She attended Rio Hondo College and earned her LVN and RN licenses. She later earned her BSN from California State University Fullerton in 1990.

Kathy first job was at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital where she met her husband Dan Pratt. Dan and Kathy were married in 1971 and had two sons, William and David. Kathy worked as a registered nurse for 50 years. She worked at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Downey, Martin Luther in Anaheim, Vitas Hospice Care and Kaiser Hospice in Orange County, where she completed her nursing career.

Kathy was an avid writer, reader, artist, crafter, traveler, animal lover and volunteer in her retirement years. She lived a full life of service to others and the world shifted on its axis a bit when she was lost. She became a volunteer and it seemed strongest in helping the homeless. She did much of this on her own; providing food, clothing, and personal items to the homeless in her community. She didn't shy away from the external appearance of a homeless man or woman, because, to her they were just people that needed help. She had a compassionate soul that wouldn't have dreamed of doing anything other than helping people and animals.

She is survived by her husband Judge Daniel Pratt (Ret), two sons and their wives. William and Crystal Pratt and David and Jenise Pratt. Two brothers Richard Judkins and Larry Judkins.
