Johnny Armstrong, age 77, a retired carpenter, passed away on May 1, 2018, surrounded by the love of his family at the Diversicare of Tupelo.
He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where he served faithfully in various capacities.
His Life Celebration Service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, Tupelo, MS, with Rev. Randy Jones, officiating. Interment will follow in the Porter's Memorial Park with Grayson-Porter's Mortuary in charge of the arrangements.
The family will gather and receive friends on Sunday, May 6, 2018, 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the J.W. Porter's Chapel at Grayson-Porter's Mortuary.

He is survived by one son, Kevin (Melony) Armstrong of Tupelo, MS; two daughters, A'lea (Gregory) Gardner of Grand Blanc, MI, Cisely Armstrong of Tupelo, MS; and the mother of the daughters, Minnie Armstrong of Grand Blanc, MI; four sisters, Maggie Partlow, Sue Arnold, Lizzie (Wayne) Braddock, Mattie Pruitt; three brothers, William (Pearlie) Armstrong, James (Barbara) Armstrong, Charley Armstrong; one brother-in-law, Andy Tucker; and five grandsons.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Lee and Lizzie Lyons Armstrong; one brother, Cornelius (Shirley) Armstrong; two sisters, Ilue (Willie James) Brim and Alma Tucker; a grandson, Kevin Armstrong Jr.; and sister-in-law, Barbara Armstrong .
