Frances Cornelia Thompson, age 69, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at her home.

She was born in Abbeville, SC and was a daughter of the late Carl Samuel and Pauline Ervin Bond and was a member of Highland Home Baptist Church.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, Leighton Lawrence Black of the home; her sons, Donald Wayne Dorn of Missouri, Steven Lee Thompson (Star) of Gray Court, Phillip Samuel Thompson (Melony) of Gray Court; her daughter, Mary Beth McDonald of Bradley, SC; her step-sons, Michael Kenneth Thompson and Robert Wilson Thompson; her step-daughters, Dorie June Pruett and Loretta Carolyn Wynn; her seventeen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous children that called her Grandma Frances.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by all of her siblings.

A Memorial service will be held, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Highland Home Baptist Church 3 PM.

The family will receive friends prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall from 2 to 3 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Laurens County Safe Home, P. O. Box 744, Clinton, SC 29325, or to the charity of one’s choice.
