Obituary for Ronald Allen Mays Sr.
Ronald Allen Mays Sr. departed this life on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 3:45pm at the age of 66. He was born in Magnolia, Arkansas on July 17, 1951 and has been a resident of Winter Gardens, Florida for the past nine years and was a resident of Buras, LA for most of his life. He graduated from Buras High School and attended Southeastern University in Hammond, LA. He is preceded in death by his father, James "J.D. Mays and mother, Ruby "Billie" Mays, and sister, Darla Mays. He is survived by his son, Ronald Allen Mays, Jr. (Carol), his former wife, Linda C. Ross (Ken), brother, Gary D. Mays (Mallory), sister, Jamie Mays Ladner, his nieces and nephews, Gena M. Ragas (Brent), David M. Mays (Paige), Torie L. Noto (Chris), Brooke L. Covington (Mark), Kimberley Ladner (Polo family pet) and many great nieces and nephews, Gavin M. Mays, Stephen, Ben, Matthew Ragas, Avery and Landen Noto, and Taylor Covington. He was loved dearly by many life long friends and family and will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 5pm. Visitation will be held from 2pm until 5pm. Interment, St. Margaret Cemetery, Albany, LA on Monday, May 7, 2018. Special thanks to Davita Dialysis and staff at Winter Garden, Florida for their kindness and caring of our loved one Ronald "Ronnie", also special thanks to Mothe Funeral Home for all arrangements.
