Mrs. Geraldine Bland Miles, age 88 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at her residence. She was born on November 20, 1929 in Lebanon, KY. Mrs. Miles was a retired employee of the Marion County Board of Education and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jospeh Earl “J.E.” Miles; parents, Joseph Bernard, Sr and Mary Jo Jarboe Bland; son, Carroll Miles; brother, Joseph Bernard Bland, Jr.
Survivors include daughter, Betty Ann Hogue (Dewey), of Louisville, KY; three sons, David Miles (Donna), of Lexington, KY, Gary Miles (Helen), of Elizabethtown, KY, Bobby Miles (Leizel), of Lebanon, KY; brother, Frank Bland (Shirley) , of Lebanon, KY; ten sisters, Clarice Dant, Mary Rita Browning, Margaret Ann Green, all of Lebanon, KY, Pauline Boone, of Howardstown, KY, Imogene “Tim” Luckett, Doris “Dot” Byrdwell, Bonnie Spalding (Joe), Leta Mattingly (Pat), Lois Spalding (Charlie), all of Louisville, KY, Betty Boone (Kenny), of Lanesville, IN. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at St. Charles Catholic Church, celebrated by Rev. David Naylor. Interment to follow in Lebanon National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Bosley Funeral Home. Prayer Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
