MRS. J. R. EARL DIES THURSDAY AT ANTLERS
Funeral Set For 3 P. M. Today At Presbyterian Church

Mrs. James R. Earl, 48, Antlers, died unexpectedly at her Antlers home at 3 p. m. Thursday. She had been ill for the past eight months, and during this period had been in the Paris Sanitarium two months, the Oaklawn sanitarium, Dallas for three months, and the Williams-clinic two weeks.

The former Miss Helen Amelia Stanley, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Stanley, pioneer county residents, she was born at Fowlerville, McCurtain county, September 29, 1895. She was a graduate of Wheelock academy and had attended Oklahoma College for Women, Chickasha, two years.

She married James R. Earl in Idabel, November 4, 1917, and they resided here until eight years ago when they moved to Antlers. She was a member of the Presbyteriam church of Antlers, and was active in the American Legion auxiliary there.

She is survived by her husband, division engineer of the Oklahoma highway department; one son, James R. Earl, Jr., staff-sergeant in the army stationed in the south Pacific; one daughter, Miss Wyota Earl, a junior at Oklahoma A and M college, Stillwater; one sister, Mrs. Marvin Sawyer, Oklahoma City; and four brothers, Sam Stanley, McAlester, Neal Stanley, Oklahoma City, and Charley Stanley and Rafe Stanley, somewhere in California.

Funeral services were scheduled for 3 p. m. today (Saturday) at the Idabel Presbyterian church with Rev. R. R. Craig, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Denison cemetery under direction of Coffey funeral home.

Pallbearers are F. B. West, J. W. Simpson, W. A. Loftin, J. M. Craig, Tom Finney, E. P. Snead, Guy. R. Old and C. E. Bollinger.

Music will be furnished by the church choir.

Out-of-town relatives here for the funeral are Mr. and Mrs. Marvin L. Sawyer and daughters, Misses June, Dorothy and Betty Jo, and Mr. and Mrs. Neal Stanley, Oklahoma City; Miss Pope Earl, Shawnee; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Ray Earl and son, Leslie Ray, Jr., Kingfisher; Mrs. W. A. Tripp and daughter, Mrs. James Jennings, Wynnewood; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Stanley, McAlester, Mrs. Hardy Watson, Lawton.
