John Robert Selfridge was born 06 June 1830, died 19 February 1863 in Richmond, VA. He volunteered for service on 21 Apr 1861 in Co. G, 19th Regiment GA Volunteer Infantry – "Henry Guards" at Shingle Roof Campground, Henry County, GA. He was elected 2nd Lieutenant on 27 Apr 1861 and 1st Lieutenant on 01 Sept 1862. He was wounded at Fredericksburg, VA on 13 Dec 1862 & died of his wounds in Hospital on 19 February 1863. His body was removed home and his funeral was conducted at the Shingle Roof Campground and he was interred at the Dailey-Selfridge Family Cemetery in Henry County, GA.
