Rebecca Jane (Mikeska) Rodriquez, age 53, of Abilene, TX, passed from this life on Friday, May 4, 2018, surrounded by loved ones, at Abilene Regional Medical Center in Abilene, TX. She was born to Kenneth Olan and Diana Gayle (Walls) Simmons on October 15, 1964, in Abilene.
After her father's passing, she was adopted by her stepfather, Dr. J.E. Mikeska, at the age of 3 years, when her mother remarried. Rebecca married Santiago Jimmy Rodriquez on February 14, 2004, in Abilene, TX. She was Assistant Manager for Ingram's Cleaners in Abilene for many years. She was loved by many and was an amazing, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her husband: Santiago Jimmy Rodriquez; three sons: Charles Ryan Flores, Justin Ray Roark and Eric James Roark; and step-daughter: Jessica Lynn Rodriquez. She is also survived by her parents: Diana Gayle and Dr. J.E. Mikeska of Albany, TX; two brothers: Michael Ray Mikeska and wife Cherry of Abilene and Joe Edward and wife Shelley Mikeska of Pasadena, MD; five sisters: Gayl Laird and husband Lance of Defuniak Springs, FL, Debera Diane Burton of Gorman, TX, Mary Katherine Shick and husband Glenn of Corpus Christi, TX, Tina Marie Webb and husband Gary of Albany, TX, Burma Brummitt and husband Robert of Gorman, TX, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her mother-in-law: Celia Rodriquez and 6 sisters and brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father: Kenneth Olan Simmons and one brother: Stephen Dwayne Mikeska.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Albany, TX. Pastor Tim Trimble will officiate services. Arrangements are entrusted to Parker Funeral Home in Baird, TX.
