Gary L. Hahn, 69, of Mexico, departed this world on Friday, May 4, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Arnold Funeral Home, Mexico, MO. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris, MO.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Gary was born on July 20, 1948, in Mexico, the son of Robert F. and Doris I. (Seal) Hahn. On September 15, 1979, in Mexico, he married Carolyn L. Durbin.

Together they raised three children, Amanda (Nick) Deimeke of Mexico, Wesley (Lacey) Hahn of Columbia, and Jay (Dr. Kayla) Hahn of Jefferson City. He enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Andrew Deimeke, Hadley Hahn, and Clara Hahn. Gary was also survived by two sisters, Linda Martin and Sue Lamb, both of Mexico; one brother, Phil (Pam) Hahn of Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eddie Hahn.

Mr. Hahn graduated from Community R-6 High School. He founded and operated Hahn Insurance Agency. Gary and Don Hanson had co-founded and operated The Computer Store.

Gary had been a member of the Laddonia Odd Fellows, Laddonia Athletic Association, and Audrain County 4-H Fairboard. Mr. Hahn also served on the Missouri Commission on Compensation for Elected Officials. Gary was a member of the Laddonia Presbyterian Church and served as an elder. He was presently serving on the Mexico Senior Center Board of Directors where he enjoyed a good game of pool and cards.

Memorial donations may be made to the University of Missouri Genetics Research Program for Osteogenesis Imperfecta. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
