Maria was a daughter of Johann Friedrich Niehaus and Marie Louis Charlotte Guetebier. She was Baptized on Feb. 15, 1852 at St. Johannes Evangelisch Church in Hereford, Prussia. FHL Film #473624.
On March 17th, 1876, Maria became the wife of August Kampmann at St. Marien-Stift Evangelisch Church in Hereford. FHL Film #173644.
She gave birth to 3 children while living in Germany.
1. Frederick Kampmann 1876-1961.
2. Marie "Louisa" Kampmann (Arnold) 1878-1968.
3. Henry August Kampmann 1882-1968.
In 1886, the family emigrated from Germany to Canada and they settled in the town of Berlin, Ontario.
While living in Berlin, Maria gave birth to 2 more children.

5. Carl William Kampmann 1892-1972.
After the death of her husband in 1914, Maria went to Rochester, New York to live with her daughter "Louisa" Arnold.

Maria died at the age of 69 years and 6 months. We are not sure if she died in Rochester or in Kitchener, Ontario.
