Samuel J. Prophet was my great-grandfather. He never completely recovered from injuries he suffered when he was badly gored by a bull. He was unable to get out of the corral and his wife, Margaret grabbed a pitchfork and went to his aid. She managed to drive the bull into a far corner and then dragged her husband out of the corral.
