FLATONIA — Mary Rightmer, 96, of Schulenhurg, died at 7:25 p.m. Thursday night at a nursing home in Schulenburg.
She was born Oct. 9, 1888, in the Blackjack community in Fayette County, the daughter of Frank and Callie Phillips Steve.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. The Rev. Tim Edwards will officiate.
Burial will be Pitman Cemetery in Muldoon, a community near Flatonia.
She is survived by three sons, Charlie Rightmer of Muldoon and Marion Rightmer of San Antonio and Raymond Richtmer of Scottsdale, Arizona; three daughters, Mrs. Elenora Jackson of Schulenburg, Mrs. Averil Hausinger of Keene and Mrs. Willene Parker of Schulenhurg; a brother, Garland Steve of Arlington; a sister, Mrs. Zora Werth of Gonzales; and 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. • The Victoria Advocate, Saturday, May 11, 1985—Page 14A
