Kathryn Ann Bailey, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2018, at the Embrace Hospice House of the Grand Strand.
She was born on September 3, 1946, in Niles, MI to the late DeVerne "Bud" Jacob Bucher (1927-2016) and Yoelanda Virginia "Jenny" Withrow-Bucher (1925-2015).
Kathy attended grade school in Michigan and relocated to West Virginia in the early 1960s. She went on to graduate from Dunbar High School in 1964 and continue her education at Charleston General School of Nursing, from where she graduated in 1967. Kathy loved pizzas from the Dunbar Drive in on Fairlawn Avenue. She married Lawrence Gilbert Bailey (B. 1947) on November 18, 1966 in Charleston, Kanawha County, WV (per WV Marriage License #1799 19-693, Kanawha County, WV, 1966, Book 19, Page 693, Application Date: November 14, 1966).
Left to cherish Kathy's memory, are her sons, Gilbert Bailey & wife Erin Bailey & their children Lorelei Bailey and Isadora Bailey, Scott Bailey and Kristi Amendola, Kenneth Bailey & wife Kristen Bailey; as well as a large loving extended family, and supportive friends and neighbors.
