Thomas Leroy Bond, 78 of Miami passed away in Carl Junction Missouri on Sunday April 29, 2018.
Thomas was born on July 31, 1939 in Fairland, Oklahoma to Lon and Nancy (French) Bond. He graduated from Fairland High School in 1957 and then Attended Northeastern Oklahoma A &M College. He married the love of his life, Clydene Harkins on January 8, 1960 in Miami, Oklahoma. He worked for many years at B.F. Goodrich in Miami, then later for Regency Home Medical Equipment. Thomas loved to hunt and fish, he also enjoyed playing softball. He also loved watching just about any and every sport. He was especially fond of the University of Oklahoma, the St, Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Thomas was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Akers.
Thomas is survived by his wife Clydene, of the home, three children, Thomas Geoffrey Bond of Miami, Oklahoma, Steven L. Bond and wife Melissa of Gentry, Arkansas, and Michelle Snodgrass and husband Paul of Carl Junction, Missouri, and three brothers, Corbie Bond of Miami, Oklahoma, Lon Bond Jr. and wife Virginia of Tuskaloosa, Alabama, and Kenneth Bond and wife Tommie Lou of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thomas is also survived six grandchildren Holly Gulick and husband Caleb, Emily Bond, Hannah Bond, Zack Snodgrass, Kennedy Snodgrass, and Tori Snodgrass.
Funeral services for Thomas will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday May 4, 2018 at Northwest Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma. Reverend Michael Knight and Warren Harkins will officiate. Serving as casket bearers will be Scott Bond, Rodney Griffin, Nathaniel Barnes, Caleb Gulick, Mike Bond and Zach Snodgrass. Interment will follow at Fairland Cemetery. A visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home in Miami, Oklahoma. Notes of encouragement may be left at www.brown-winters.com. The family asked that in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Thomas' name to Northwest Baptist Church.
Services are under the direction of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
