Clyde William Nix, a loving, giving man and our anchor, passed away January 18, 2004 at the age of 85. He was born Febuary 21, 1918 in Wheatland, Texas to Joseph and Mattie Nix. He obtained his GED in 1965 and after after two years of college, he graduated from an electronic studies program.

He honorably served in the Conservation Navy Corps. Worked for Grayhound busline,DISD,Texas Instruments and retired from Western Electric after 14 years of service as a journeyman electrician.

On November 16, 1939 he married the love of his life, Mourine Lasater Nix, his loving wife of sixty four years, two months and two days. He is also survived by sons, Joe William Nix, Benny Gene Nix, daughter, Wilma Mae Nix Liggett and husband Les; sisters, Doris Mathis and Dorothy Bailey; Five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister.

Mr. Nix passed on his faith in God, and good words to many during his life. He lived life to its fullest by windsurfing till the age of 64 and water-skiing until he was 75.
Funeral services will be held at Williams Memorial Chapel, January 21,2004. Williams Funeral Home in Garland Texas.
