Charles (Chuck) Morgan Shelby

Madison - Charles (Chuck) Morgan Shelby, 75, passed away Wednesday May 2, 2018 at his home in Madison surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday May 5, 2018 at First Baptist Church Madison preceded by visitation from 10-11am. The family will also receive friends from 5-7pm Friday at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Graveside services will be 3:00pm Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, MS.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Odis Herman and Bonnie Bell Shelby and his sister Bonnie Harris. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Bonava Shelby and his daughter DeShay (Matt Hipp); step-daughter Heather Avery; grandchildren Chelsea Evans, Caylee Hipp, Caden Hipp, Hunter Hipp, Shelby Hipp, Andrew Hipp, Mallory Dale, and Parker Avery; brother, Evan Alton (Al) Shelby; niece, Britney McDow (Michael); nephew Blake Shelby (Katie); and his beloved dog Mollie.

Charles Morgan Shelby was born in Newton, MS September 14, 1942 to Odis and Bonnie Bell Shelby.

He graduated from Hinds Community College and retired from John Mannsville Corporation after many years in the roofing industry. His hobbies were playing golf, riding Harley motorcycles, and attending Miss State sporting events. His favorite past-time was spending time with his grandchildren. He was an active member and deacon of First Baptist Church Madison.
