Jeffrey Karl Winn, son of Juliana and Donald Winn, died suddenly on November 24, 2016, in Des Moines, Iowa. Born August 17, 1960, on an Air Force Base near London, England, he was widely traveled and attended schools in Japan, Spain and England before graduating from North Town High School in Kansas City, Missouri.

Imbued with the idea of 'service', Jeff joined the Air Force where he excelled in rigorous medical training and served as a medic in England and Texas, Later, as a civilian, he was an administrator for Behavioral Health Resources in a Des Moines, Iowa, facility.

He enjoyed playing his guitar and cooking, especially Indian curry dishes.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Donald, and brother, Steve. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Juliana Roberts of Des Moines, as well as relatives and friends.

Hamilton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements where plans for a Memorial Service are pending. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Disabled Veterans of America.
