Roberta Annabelle Thompson, age 92, of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Rosedale Green Manor, in Covington, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Thompson, who died November 19, 1992. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on December 5, 1926, to the late Robert and Etta Voots Shoftstall. She was a homemaker and member of Taylor Mill Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She leaves behind: three sons, George Robert Thompson, Gary Lee (Nancy) Thompson and David Michael (Pamela) Thompson; two daughters, Sherry Lynn (Robert) Kuhr and Deborah Ann (James) Patrin; a brother, Robert Shoftstall; a sister, Evelyn Sounderhaus; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Nathan Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home, in Augusta, Kentucky, with Pastor Caspert Musacanda presiding. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery, in Brooksville, Kentucky. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
