Frances was a Mansfield area resident most of her life. She and her husband, Dave, spent many winters in Florida. She retired after 11 years of service with Jones Potato Chip Company. Frances attended Franklin United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, flower gardening and music.
She was a loving mother to her children and many foster children as well. She was a foster mother for 36 years.
Frances is survived by her children, Edward (Martha) Kuhn of Mansfield, Kevin Kuhn of Rockwood, MI, Daniel (Linda) Kuhn and Richard (Melissa) Kuhn, both of Shelby, Ruth Stacklin of New Washington and Dianne Wheeler of Shelby; eighteen grandchildren, Brian (Monica) Kuhn, Michael Fritts, Ken (Jenna) Stacklin, Aloys (Amanda) Stacklin, Scott (Kayla) Stacklin, Shane Heaberlin, Michelle Kuhn, Melissa (Stacy) Hall, Micah Kuhn, Ashley (Curtis) Kauffman, Christopher (Sara) Kuhn, Katie Bradshaw, Sarah (Mitch) Gillespie, Chad (Lindsay) Patrick, Terri (Steve) Hawkins, McKenna Kuhn, David (Audra) Kuhn, Deanne (Josh) Myers; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Kuhn; son, Donald; brother, Frank; two foster sons, Robert Deweese and Shelly Smith; and a son-in-law, Richard Stacklin.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015, in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with additional visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Richland County Children’s Services Gift Fund.
The family extended a special thank you to Crystal Care Nursing Home and staff; Harbor Light Hospice; and Clay Memorial Lutheran Church.
