A native. of Williamson County, he was the son of the late Bob and Melinda Abernathy and the husband of the late Emily Haddox Abernathy.
Survivors include sister-in-law Julia Haddox of Spring Hill; brothers-in-law, Fred (Eyelyn) Mccullough of Nashville and Chris Haddox of Chattanooga; and other relatives and friends.
