Oscar Eugene “Gene” Brown, 82, of Warren passed away May 1, 2018.

Born June 28, 1935 in Cleburne, Texas to the late William Oscar Brown and Myrtle Irene Cone Brown, he lived in Warren for many years. He was a retired plant operator and a National Guardsman. He was a loving and devoted family man.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Billie Irene Fowler and Linda Kay Orange.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elna Brown of Houston; daughters, Joyce Foxworth and husband, Donny of Warren and Gale Brown of Vidor; son, Michael Brown and wife, Jean Ann of Deer Park; grandchildren, Christopher Micheal Brown, Dustin Marcus Brown, Michael Anthony Browder, Autumn Dawn Hillhouse, Brendon Browder, Westin Foxworth, Crystal Gayle Yeager and Jacob Burns; great grandchildren, Noah Hillhouse, Macie Browder, Desirea Yeager, Ariel Browder, Natalie Hillhouse, Kason Browder, and Lilly Burns; and other family members and friends.

Graveside service will be held Friday, May 4, 2018, at 10:30 am at the Fellowship Cemetery in Warren with Brother Scott Briggs officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday at the cemetery starting at 10 am.
