Funeral services for “Dooley” Thomas Lee Melton, age 59, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2018 at League Street Church of Christ with Rev. Mike Eason and Rev. Brian Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Old Tarrant Cemetery with Randy Melton, Bruce Melton, Brian Melton, Scott Melton, Jeremy Melton, Dalton Littrell, Mark Estes and Cody Williams serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Janway, Wes Jordan, Zane Wilhite, Tyrel Anders, Kenny Turnipseed and Dane Workman. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Dooley passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at his residence. Dooley was born on January 3, 1959 in Poteau, OK, the son of Paul Titus Melton and Wanda June Prather Melton. He married Carolyn Leah Wright on June 12, 1984 in Rockwall. She survives. Dooley owned and operated Melton Painting and was a member of Cross Spur Cowboy Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Jeremy Melton and wife Kattie of Miller Grove, daughters, Brandy Estes and husband Mark, Leslie Littrell and husband Dalton both of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Montana Hatley, Faith Hatley, Caiden Lewis, Jaylee Miller, Abbie Melton, Ace Estes, Caroline Melton, Lynlee Littrell, Andyn Estes, brothers, Randy Melton and wife Dana of Cumby, Bruce Melton of Cedar Creek Lake, Brian Melton and wife Karen of Point and Scott Melton of Austin, sisters, Kay Douglas of Kissme, FL, and Linda Workman and husband Dane of Kemp, sister and brother-in-laws, Teresa Melton Strader and husband Bobby, Alvin and Pat Hammond and Ray Wright, mother-in-law, Virginia Berney. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Melissa Nicole Melton, baby sister, Carol Melton and brother, Terry Don Melton.
