Jamie was born November 25, 1967, in Evansville, IN, to Clayton and Marjorie (Baker) Powers. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1986 and went on to graduate from the University of Southern Indiana with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Jamie was a nurse at Deaconess Hospital and was active in Logans Promise as its secretary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and family dog, Lucy.
Jamie is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Philip McDonald; beloved daughters, Megan McDonald and Katie McDonald; parents, Clayton and Marjorie Powers; sister, Kimberly Greer; mother-in-law, Martha Jo McDonald; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Elaine Hodoval; aunt, Debi Tari; and cousins, nieces, and nephew.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Arie Belle Baker and Lonnie and Ilene Powers; father-in-law, Jimmie McDonald; and uncle, Bob Powers.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2018 and 9:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, May 5, 2018, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
