Raymond W. Franklin, 72, of Salisbury IL, passed away April 30, 2018. He was born in Springfield IL to William and Marcella (Nesch) Franklin December18, 1945. He Married Sharon Merrell in 1983; she preceded him in death in 2015.
Raymond is survived by his sons Craig Franklin of Carrolton and Scott (Ambre) Franklin of Salisbury; grandchildren Elena and Ryder Franklin; sister Carol (John) Bax of Springfield and brother Bill (Marilyn) Franklin of Springfield.
Raymond was a proud Marine and a Vietnam Veteran. After his retirement from City Water Light Power; He enjoyed going to car shows and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation for Raymond will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11 am at Salisbury Cemetery. Pastor Keith Masten will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to Land of Lincoln Honor Flight in his name.
