Bruce Elliott, 71, of Gardendale passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Odessa.

Friends and family will gather at a private graveside service to celebrate the life of Bruce at Andrews North Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Bailey of Northcrest Baptist Church officiating. Bruce was born January 27, 1946 in Odessa to Raymond and Zula Elliott. He was raised in Odessa and graduated from Odessa High School in 1964. He joined the United States Army shortly after graduation. He was trained as a heavy vehicle driver and transitioned into the Army Reserves until 1971. Upon discharge from active duty, he moved back to Odessa and married the love of his life, Sue Palmer. The two were wed on January 18, 1969 in Odessa. Bruce founded and owned Permian Test Separator Rental for many years. He made his living by building and welding test separators and other oil field equipment. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing pool. Bruce was always friendly and outgoing and could never meet a stranger. He was loved by so many, and had an extensive extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sue in 2006, 2 sons; James Elliott and Barry Elliott in 1989, one brother, and 2 sisters.

Bruce is survived by his children; 2 daughters, Lexie Elliott of Odessa, Jacque Monk of Lady Lake, Florida, and son, Michael Monk of Lady Lake, Florida, and sister; Lynda Kiser and husband Melvin of Odessa.
