Dean was born on in Greenville, Utah, on Monday, 27 June 1927, to George Albert and Jeanette Calvert Fordham. He served his country, honorably, in both the Army and the Navy. Dean graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree; then, worked in many diverse capacities: milkman, manager, real estate, and home health; and finally retired at age 85 while working at the South Davis Recreation Center.
Dean married the love of his life, Shirley, in 1954. Their love has endured for sixty-three years ... lasting through hardships and, especially, kids! Dean was loved by everyone who knew him and adored by children. He was the best neighborhood Grandpa ever.
Dean is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Shirley; their children, Sam, David (Donna), Stewart, Deborah (Steve), Kevin (Lorry); fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is Arlos' sister, Barbara (Lynn) Brasher, the last of the Fordham bunch.
Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 P.M., on Sunday, 6 May 2018, and from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M., on Monday, 7 May, at Russon Brothers' Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, followed by a graveside service at 2 P.M., in the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West.
