Mrs. Lucy Baker Horton, wife of Gilbert Horton, engineer for The Diamond Match Company at Stirling City, died at Vina, New Year’s Day, from blood poisoning. Deceased was a native of Missouri and came to California several years ago. She was the daughter of Thomas [sic] Baker, an old pioneer of Tehama county. She leaves a two weeks old child.
