Sydney was born October 2, 1995 in Atlanta, Georgia, and spent her childhood in both Rome and Roswell Georgia. She graduated from The King's Academy and loved painting and photography as hobbies. She also had a deep passion for the love and care of animals. She took pride in her mission work and loved her family and friends very much.
She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Smith, and grandfather, Bobby Gene Smith.
Survivors include her mother, Micah McKoy Smith, sister, Samantha Smith, grandparents, Shelba Statham Smith Wright (Chuck) of Rockmart and Denny and Susan McKoy, aunt, Angie Smith of Rockmart, uncle, Matthew McKoy (Susan), cousin, Hudson McKoy, and numerous other cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2nd from 12:00 pm till 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Roswell. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the church at 4:00 pm following the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all donations be made to their Go Fund Me page for a scholarship to be set up in Steve and Sydney's memory at Jacksonville State University.
