Marilyn Ellis Sanders, 68, of Sherman, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, after battling cancer for many years. A Celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018, 4:00 PM at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 322 W. Pecan, Sherman, Texas 75090. There will be a reception following the service.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Ellis III, Benjamin Ellis, Thomas Ellis, David Stone, Zach Sanders, Don Merriman, Jay Stephens, Jerry Russell, and Annie Kramer.
Marilyn will be remembered for her love of family, friends, colleagues and especially the two most important things, animals and her love for real estate.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 21 years, Archie Sanders of Sherman; 3 sons: John Wharton Ellis III of Little Rock, Arkansas, Benjamin Tisdale Ellis and wife Elaine of Tynemouth, England, and Thomas King Ellis of Sherman; 2 step children: Zach Sanders and wife Gina of Eagle, Alaska, and Lisa Elpren and husband Russ of Germantown, Maryland; 6 grandchildren: Jake, Tucker and Reagan Ellis, Rebekah and Logan Ellis, and Juniper Elpren; as well as 6 rescue dogs, 40 chickens, 69 cows, 3 mules and 2 horses.
She was preceded in death by her parents Preston Tisdale and Joanna Evelyn Kaufmann.
