Chad Holmes age 30, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017. Chad was a 2005 graduate of Clintwood High School. He was a former K-9 officer with the Wise County Sheriff’s Department and a former Clintwood Fire Department member. He was a loving son, father, brother and uncle.
Chad was preceded in death by his grandfather, Claude Mullins and grandmother, Margie Holmes.
Survivors include his parents, Marty and Debbie Holmes of Clintwood; three sons, Graham Holmes of Pound, Jayce Holmes of Wise, and Kaegan Beeler of Wise; fiancée, Tiffani Sergent of Wise; his brother Derek Holmes and wife Ashley and niece Ariel Holmes all of Bristol, Virginia; grandmother, Marlene Mullins of Clintwood; several aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives.
A song service will be held Tuesday, October 10th at 7:00 PM in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 PM. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, October 11th, to proceed to Phipps Memorial Cemetery for graveside services conducted by Greg Cyphers at 1:00 PM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Wise County Sheriff’s Department.
