Leo V. Thompson passed away Wednesday morning, May 2, 2018 at Life Care Center of Greeneville.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of First Christian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Broyles; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Dennie Thompson, Shelby Thompson of Fort Walton Beach, FL, J.R. “Pete” Thompson of Milton, PA, and Harley and Mary Nell Thompson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren including two special granddaughters, Jill Ricker and Sherry Thompson; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Booger.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Sherrill Thompson; her parents, D.H. and Pearl Jaynes; two brothers, Hartsell Jaynes and Marvin Jaynes; and two sisters, Charlotte Shaw and Kathleen Weems.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home with Chaplain Mark Laughlin. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday preceding the funeral service at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Friends and family are asked to meet at Cedar Grove Cemetery at 11:00 am Friday for the committal service.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville.
