He was a retired miner, veteran of World War I and member of Local 8317 United Mine Workers of America and the World War I Barracks. His wife, Mary, died in 1944.
Besides his daughter, Mrs. Webb, he leaves a son, Perry Jr., cf Florissant, Mo.; step-sons. Jack McCutcheon of Orient and Matt McCutcheon of Benton; sisters, Mrs. Walter Williams of West Frankfort and Mrs. Paul Richardson of Golgonda; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with the Rev. Charles Donahue officiating. Burial in Boner Cemetery, south of West Frankfort
