Walter Franklin Burnett, 91 of Dugspur, dear neighbor and beloved father, went on to his rest on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at his home. Mr. Burnett was born in Dugspur to the late Irvin Austin Burnett, Sr. & Susannah Dickerson Burnett. Survivors include his wife, Reda Nester Burnett of the home; children, Dianna B. Phillips of Woodlawn, Sheila B. Delp of Botetourt, Eveston F. Burnett of Austinville, Beverly M. Bethart of Dugspur, Teresa B. Wingo of Roanoke, Lisa D. Burnett of Pulaski, and Valinta B. Brown of Nashville, TN; sister, Martha B. West of Collinsville; five grandsons; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time; however, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
