Mrs. Carolyn Louise Duvall age 69 of Brownsville, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at her residence.

She was born September 6, 1948 in Lauderdale County to the late Lewis Duvall and Bernice Campbell Duvall.

Mrs. Duvall was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She taught children’s Sunday School and G.A. “Girls In Action” for over ten years. In addition to that, she was a Cub Scout leader for over five years as well as published poetry for children in several magazines across the country.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her son, Jimmy Colvett and a sister, Betty Jo Duvall.

Survivors include her beloved son, Jimmy Duvall of Brownsville; sister, Ann Duvall White of Medina; niece Kim Lax and husband Frankie of Medina and great niece Anna Lax also of Medina. She also leaves her life-long and best friend, Trisha Hendren.

Graveside services for Mrs. Duvall will be conducted Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Ralph Brown officiating and burial to follow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.
