Mr. Maggi was born in Foggia, Italy. He came to this country in 1920 and settled in Washington. He played the guitar, the mandolin and the banjo and for many years led a family orchestra that played at weddings, christenings and similar affairs in the Washington area. He also was a noted pool player.
He was a member of the Roma Lodge of the Loyal Order of the Sons of Italy, Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
His first wife, Frances Durso Maggi, died in 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Pasquina of Arlington; four sons by his first marriage, four daughters by his first marriage, three sisters,one stepsister, 26 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
