James L. Rains Jr., age 55 of Merriam Woods, Missouri went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 29, 2018. He was born on June 26, 1962 in Sentinel, Oklahoma to the late James L. Rains Sr and Elsie F. (McGuffin) Rains. He was the 4th child and firstborn son.
James served in the US ARMY as a tank driver in the 1st Battalion 40th Armor Charlie Company where he received recognition for his professional and technical skills and also received The Army Commendation Medal for distinguishing himself by meritorious achievement as a Gunner while assigned to the 5th Infantry Division, Fort Polk, LA.
