Sherry Bea Richelson-Gilbert, 69, of Lookout Mtn., GA, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 29, 2018 at her home.

A longtime resident of Chattanooga, Sherry was from a large, close knit family. She was a graduate of UT Knoxville and was an avid gardener, often spending long days in her garden, tended to 22 birds feeders and also an animal lover.

She was a member of B’Nai’Zion Synagogue and loved her many family and friends at the synagogue.

She was preceded in death by her father, David “Duvy”Richelson.

Survivors are her husband, Lon B. “Doc” Gilbert III; mother, Miriam Richelson, Chattanooga; 2 step-daughters, Christopher Robinson and Melissa Brown both of Lookout Mtn., GA; brother, Ed (Gwen) Richelson, Ringgold, GA; three grandchildren, Nicholas Wilder Robinson, Alex Robinson and Miller Robinson; niece, Jennifer Story; nephew, Jonathan Richelson.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 1 at 12:30 pm at B’Nai’Zion Cemetery with Rabbi Susan Tendler officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sherry’s memory to the local Chapter of Hadassah.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
