Irving Atwood
Funeral for Irving J. “Jack” Atwood will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Mr. Atwood, who was 91, died in his Milwaukie home Sunday, after a lengthy illness.
He was a native of Amity, Mo., and moved to the Portland area in 1915.
He was a salesman for the Uniroyal Division of U.S. Rubber Co. for 35 years, before retirement in 1948. He was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Florence, Milwaukie; three daughters, Mrs. Gloria E. Turner, Milwaukie, Mrs. Harriet Mariani, Portland, and Mrs. Norma J. Hanson, Silverton; a son, Howard Atwood, Beaverton, 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Vault entombment will be at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum.
