Schwab, William His LegacySchwab, William, age 81 life-long resident of Manchester passed away August 12, 2015 at Chelsea Retirement Community. He was born in Bridgewater Twp. on February 21, 1934 the son of Carl F. and Caroline (Meyer) Schwab. Bill graduated from Sacred Heart Seminary High School in 1952. Bill married Dianne Ahrens and they attended St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Manchester as well as St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter. He sang in the church choirs and was a member of Knights of Columbus since 1953 where he held many offices with K of C Council #4354. He was active in the Manchester Community where he was consistently and passionately involved working on Boy Scouts, the annual Canoe Race, Kiwanis, the Gazebo Concerts, Volleyball Tournament, Chicken Broil and the Manchester Fair. Bill was employed with Double A Products in Manchester for 36 years and worked his way up from a stock room clerk to a cost accounting manager. He was also a bookkeeper at Interface Systems Inc. from 1989-2000. His Family Bill is survived by his wife, Dianne of 59 years and children: Philip (Jan) Schwab, Laura Schwab, Carolyn Schwab, Kenneth (Lisa) Schwab, Mark Schwab; 5 grandchildren: Patrick Schwab, Kaitlin Schwab, Evan Penney, Lexie Penney and Ariel (Ben)Schwab Meserva, and sisters, Magdalen Ulrich and Barbara Lawton. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Rosemary Schneider, Doris Bersuder, Carl Schwab Jr.. His Farewell Bill's family will greet friends on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-7:30 p.m. and followed by 7:30 Scripture service and Rosary, at the Borek Jennings Funeral Home, 207 E. Duncan, Manchester. Bills' family will gather beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Joseph Country Catholic Church, 6805 Mast Rd. Dexter until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father Brendan Walsh as Celebrant.
