Glenn A. Foster, age 64, of South Bend, passed away Friday afternoon in his home. He was born January 1, 1954 in South Bend to the late James W. and Josephine E. (Brant) Foster and lived in this area most of his life.

Glenn is survived by three brothers, James (Dolores) Foster of Lakeville, Milton Foster of South Bend and Thomas J. Foster of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Glenn is preceded in death by his four sisters, Darlene, Sandra, Rhonda and Wilma.

Glenn graduated from John Adams High School and Southwestern Michigan College. He also had several military technical training classes for aircraft maintenance. Glenn spent much of his career in the Air Force and government as a Crew Chief, especially working with C-5 cargo planes and KC-135 refuelers. Glenn earned his private pilot’s license and was an avid master scuba diver and was in civil air patrol high school.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Palmer Funeral Home – River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Glenn Foster may be sent to Miller’s Vets, 747 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46601.
