Mrs.Helen F. Leahy , 68, of 10 University Place, died at Champlain Valley Unit of the Medical Center after a long illness.

She was born the daughter of Michael and Emerentienne Demers Dowd.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas A. Leahy; three sons, Bernard of Champlain, Raymond of Randolph, N. Y. and Carl of Plattsburgh; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Harnett of Plattsburgh and Mrs. Michael Nichols of Manchester,CT.; a brother, Roman Dowd, of St. Urbain, Quebec, Canada; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Tobin of Hemmingford, Quebec, Mrs. John Brigham of Burlington, Vt. and Mrs. Frank Deslauriers of St. Albans, Vt; 11 grandchildren and two g-grandchildren.
