Three deaths in one day.-
Mention was made in these columns of the accidental cutting of the left arm of a Mr. Bidwell, at Tecumseh Tannery, some weeks ago. It was stated too, that he had become quite ill from the effects of that wound, and he continued to grow worse until relieved by death on Wednesday morning. He leaves a wife.
On the morning of the same day Mr. Daniel Dotson, living on an adjoining lot to Mr. Bidwell, a short distance back of Tecumseh, left his home at about eight o'clock, and was seen going towards the tannery, on a foot path through the woods. At about eleven o'clock he was found near the railroad under the top of a tree that had broken off and fell on him. Life was extinct and on examination both legs were found to have been broken, and the discoloration of his body, showed that he had received a blow across the back severe enough to have killed him instantly. Mr. Dotson was a simple, inoffensive old man, and in very straightened circumstances.
A Mr. Josiah May, living a few miles South of Everett, died on the same day. He has been sick a long time, and died from disease.
Mr. Bedwell and Daniel Dotson were buried in the new Cemetery, one at two and the other at five p.m., being the first interments on that ground.

There is a section F and a section I on the cemetery map.
I do not know what Section F-I means. It may mean Free-Interment.

If we find the marker, it may give the dates for Mrs. Sarah (Householder) Dodson.

The Alms House report, the Bedford County Home, lists a Sally Dotson on the March yearly report for 1891, 1892 and 1893, for "outdoor relief." This may be Sarah Dodson.
The 1880 census notes Sarah Dodson is blind.
