Clyde Porter Sheldon was born in August 5,1880 in Marshall, Minnesota to Porter Sheldon (1836-1919) & Caroline Hemingway Sheldon (1840-1935). He was the youngest of 8 children, having siblings Leslie, Emma, Etta, Velona, Albert, Mary & Ward. He married Dell or Della from Brownton, Minnesota. (1884-1953) They had 2 children: Katherine (1906-1950) and Charles.(Charles Perry...known as Perry?) Clyde died in 1945 and is buried with other family members in Electra, TX.

Notes from Shirley Hemingway: In 1900 Clyde was listed with his parents and sister Matie in Harrold, South Dakota where the family ran a hotel. After his marriage he must have lived in South Dakota for his daughter Katherine who was born in 1906 has a listed birthplace of South Dakota. By the 1910 Census Clyde was living with wife Dell and 3 year old daughter Katherine in Cold Creek, Powell County, Montana. Clyde was listed as a railway agent & his wife was listed as a railway operator. Census records list son Perry's birthplace in Illinois and his birthdate was probably 1921. (This is not documented) In the obit of Clyde's sister Emma Gray(Emma died in 1920) Clyde's address was given as Waukegan, Illinois. The 1930 Census lists Clyde, Dell, daughter Katherine (age 23) and son Perry (age 9) living in Electra, Texas.
