Attorney General, Arizona Territory, 1887-1888.

Goodrich first married Rose Meador in 1869 in Texas. They had one daughter, Rosa. In 1871, Goodrich mistakenly killed Rose one night, believing her to be an intruder. A few years later, Goodrich married Birdie Rhodes/Rhoades. They had two daughters, Serena and Helene. After Birdie divorced Goodrich, he then married Virginia Schackelford, with whom he had a son, Benjamin.

Goodrich was a lawyer and cattleman with ambitions to rise in the territorial government. He achieved this goal in 1887, when he was appointed Arizona's attorney general by Governor Zulick.

His obituary says he died in Phoenix. At that time this cemetery was the only Phoenix cemetery and one of the few in the area. If information is found as to another location, please contact us.

Goodrich was also the defense attorney for the Cowboy gang in the 1880s. The Cowboys were involved in a feud with Wyatt Earp & his brothers and the Gunfight at the OK Corral.
