Mark Allen Coffman, age 68 of Plano, IL passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Springs of Monarch Landing in Naperville, IL. He was born on April 14, 1950 in Sandwich, IL the son of Herman Glenn and Verda Maxine (Miller) Coffman.
Mark was united in marriage on February 5, 1994 to Dorothy Benson and they spent the next 24 happy years together. Mr. Coffman was a member of the United Methodist Church of Plano, IL. Mark was the Owner, Operator and President, for more than 50 years, of Coffman Brothers Truck Sales in Montgomery, IL. He was a member of both the Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons Sunbeam Lodge #428 in Plano, IL and Medinah Shriners International. Mark was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle and cousin who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Mark is survived by his wife, Dorothy Coffman of Plano, IL; his daughter, Courtney (Collin) Crenshaw of Elburn, IL; his sisters, Kathy (Roger) Martinez of Plano, IL and Peggy (Mike) LeMaster of Yorkville, IL; his sisters-in-law, Jane (Virgil) Hyte of Plano, IL, Barbara (Rich) Schiradelly of Plano, IL, Susan Harris of Wilmar, AR, his brother-in-law, Alvin (Jeannie) Benson of Plano, IL and all of their families; his nephews, Ryan (Jill) Martinez, Aaron (Magna) Martinez, Andrew (Marissa) LeMaster, Rob (Amber) LeMaster; four great-nieces; 1 great-nephew; two aunts; many cousins; and all his special friends which he lovingly referred to as the ”A-Team”.
He was preceded in death by his parents; H. Glenn and Maxine Coffman; his grandparents; his brother-in-law, Jim Harris; as well as several aunts and uncles.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street in Plano, IL with Pastor Stevan Saunders, officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL.
Friends may visit from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
