Johnie Edward Moore of Olin, died Saturday evening at Autumn Care of Statesville. Born in Anson County on October 10, 1935, he was a son of the late Roy Moore and Fannie Weiner Moore. He was retired from the N.C. Department of Corrections and enjoyed country music and going on cruises.

Survivors include a daughter, Nicole Baxley (Matthew) of Statesville and other family members: Wendy Evans (James) and Stephanie Hefner. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Charlotte Avery Baxley, a sister, Mary Helen Moore and a cousin, Bill Weiner.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. J. B. Parker, Jr. officiating. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service and burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
