Wayne was a graduate of Philippi High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he worked as a tool and die maker at General Motors until his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, auctions, football (both college and professional), and NASCAR racing.
There are so many wonderful memories that Wayne made throughout his life. He especially loved the memory he shared with his daughters when they went on their cruise to Panama. Wayne will be remembered for his compassion, as well as his deep loyalty to friends and family. It wasn't uncommon for him to visit them in hospitals and nursing homes, and he made his best effort to attend family functions and milestones in life.
He will be missed by his daughters, Ellen (Steve) Ketzenberger, Fort Wayne, and Monica Taylor, Marion; grandchildren, Marc (Toni) Watson, Joshua (Shannon) Ketzenberger, Robert (Stacey) Andrick, Laura (Freddie) Andrick-Sanchez, Jennifer (Steve) Andrick, Courtney Barnhouse, Noah Ketzenberger, and Kelley Ketzenberger-Frazier; 11½ great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Andrick; sister-in-law, Beatty Andrick; nephew/brother, Clayton Andrick; and special friends, Diane Hinkle, Linda Johns, and Lisa Percy.
In addition to his parents and loving wife, he was preceded in death by eight brothers; three sisters; son, Robert Andrick; daughter-in-law, Marti Andrick; and grandson, Anthony Wayne Watson.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Services to celebrate Wayne's life will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory
