Obituary for Ronald Lee Clogston
Ronald L. “Spud” Clogston, lifetime resident of Hockerville, OK went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 26, 2018.
Ron was born July 20, 1941 in Hockerville, to Richard and Leola (Brandon) Clogston. They preceded him in death.
Ron was a hard worker all of his life working various jobs from a young age until starting employment at Wadler’s Oasis Car Wash in 1974. He worked there for 39 years until his retirement in 2015.
He married his home town sweetheart, Carolyn “Suzy” (Whited) Clogston on July 11, 1960. She survives of the home. Survivors also include two daughter, Cindy Thompson and husband Carlin of Quapaw, OK and Rhonda Turner of Quapaw, OK, two grandchildren Ashley Mayfield and husband Mike of Miami and Nathan Thompson of Quapaw, one brother Gary Clogston of Bloomington, IN and close friend Kathy Skahan of Columbus, KS.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, April 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce, OK. Rev. David Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at Baxter Springs Cemetery in Baxter Springs, KS. Pallbearers will be Danny Brandon, Rick Turner, Larry Whited, Mike Mayfield, Brand Cole and Gary Brandon . Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce, OK.
