Mabel Marie Mount went home to the arms of our Savior on April 21, 2018 at the age of 97 years.

Mabel was born on September 28, 1920 in Hamburg, IA; the daughter of Albert and Viola (Booker) Ward. She married Marvin Mount on October 6, 1939 in Rock Port, MO and to this union two daughters were born.

Mabel spent most of her adult life working at Interstate Nurseries in Hamburg. She retired in 1983 after some 35 years of working there. She also did volunteer work at the Hamburg Hospital after her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and also attended Percival Community Church; her faith in God was apparent in her everyday activities.

She loved playing cards with her friends, working word games in puzzle books, gardening, and shopping with her friends.

Living in Hamburg all of her life, she found solace in the last years of her life being close to those old friends she loved the most. She moved to the Ambassador in Sidney in 2017 but managed to live on her own up until then.
