Mr. Dennis Gwen Cole, III, 65, of Hayes, NC passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Wilkes County, NC. Mr. Cole was born in Stanly County, NC on November 30, 1952, son of the late Dennis Gwen Cole, Jr and Ruby Irene Barnhardt Cole. Mr. Cole attended Pfeiffer University and was self employed. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army and was a member of Gold Hill United Methodist Church. Mr. Cole is survived by his wife, Penny Onessa Sparks Cole, daughters, step-daughter, sister and also by one grandchild. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Gold Hill United Methodist Church from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Gold Hill United Methodist Church. Military Graveside rites will follow at Gold Hill Cemetery.
